Community Groups

St John's plays hosts to a number of external groups including:

Edinburgh Inter-Faith Association

The Edinburgh Inter-Faith Association (EIFA) is based at St John's. It was formed in 1989 to promote and facilitate positive engagement between the faith communities of our religiously and culturally diverse city. EIFA has built a UK-wide reputation for inter-faith work. For more information, please see the EIFA website.

NHS Fellowship

Each Thursday morning, retired NHS staff meet for a time of fellowship. Approximately 100 people attend these events.

Serenity Groups

St John's hosts the following groups: Alcoholics Anonymous, AlAnon (for relatives of alcoholics), Nicotine Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Overeaters Anonymous.

In addition, St John's also hosts a number of stamp groups, modern and Scottish dance groups and Scottish music lessons.
