St John’s Forum

The St John’s Forum meets on the last Monday of the month, and lasts one hour on Zoom, from 5.30 to 6.30 p.m. The group was set up during the lockdown, and has built up a committed membership. Discussion tends to be vigorous!

The subjects the group consider vary widely according to the interests of members and speakers, who are usually within the group, although occasionally outside speakers are also invited.

Subjects covered to date have ranged from poetry (mainly religious poets), novels like “The Brother Karamazov”, the relationship between science and faith, issues of health and medical ethics, to philosophy, slavery, dementia, C.S. Lewis & Tolkien.
