Maggie Doyle - Children’s and Youth Minister

Maggie is the Children’s and Youth Minister at St John’s. Originally from Marin County, California — just outside of San Francisco — Maggie first came to Edinburgh while studying Religious Studies at New College as an undergraduate and quickly fell in love with Scotland. She later returned to complete a MSc in Religious Studies at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on mysticism across different spiritual traditions. Maggie was the youth minister at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ross, California for four years, building the programme and leading community development. Maggie and her highlander husband, Cameron, moved back to Scotland permanently in January 2026.
